No Experience Needed! This class is geared toward those experiencing clay for the first time. We will meet each week for 2 hours for 5 weeks where you will learn the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel. Our instructors will guide you and help you throughout your journey in creating hand-thrown pottery. You’ll be able to take home and use everything you make once you’ve finished the 5-week course! Just bring your desire to take chances, make errors, and get dirty—all the equipment and materials are given! Weekly Agenda: Week One: Introduction of tools, wheels, and how to wedge. Begin centering clay and pulling cylinders. Week Two: Demo on Cups and Bowls Week Three: Demo on small vases Week Four: Demo on trimming and handles Week Five: Glazing Please Note: Due to the structure and times of the class, we will not reschedule or refund the course if a class is missed. By enrolling in our class, you agree to our cancellation policy, which is as follows: With at least one week's notice before your class starts you may reschedule your session for another available course or cancel for a refund.We are unable to provide any of these options after the one week period or if your session has begun, for any reason, including COVID, illness, injury, or unexpected travel. *We aim to provide a consistent class schedule. However, changes may occur.
